September 16th is the Mexican day of Independence. All over Mexico, the US and wherever there are Mexicans, there's a parade and a celebration. El Grito, the cry of Dolores, can be heard everywhere, but according to legend, the spirit of Hidalgo himself, can also be heard on this day.
