El Cadejo is part of Central American folklore. It is a dog-like creature, and there is a white Cadejo and black Cadejo, one protects you and the other kills you.

Where did El Cadejo come from? It could be a pre-hispanic belief, inluenced by colonization. The Cadejo is said to have been created by God, while the Black Cadejo is sometimes said to be the Devill himself.
